Clairleigh provides care for 30 residents and has 18 single and 6 shared rooms, all with en-suite facilities.
Each resident is welcome to provide or change furnishings to their own personal taste, if desired, to enable them to feel at home at Clairleigh.
SERVICES
Clairleigh Nursing Home
We have a variety of patient lifting equipment to assist with the moving of Residents. Pressure relieving equipment is also provided if a Resident's assessment indicates it is required. The home provides a weighing chair for Residents who are unable to stand. Any requirements can be discussed and organised with the manager.
We also have Hairdressing facilities on site and regular visits are made by a Chiropodist, Dentist, Optician, Pharmacist and Clergy. There are two bathing facilities on the ground floor and two further bathing facilities on the first floor giving the option of shower or bath.
Residents may have a Doctor of their own choice or may be registered with the nearby Bromleag GP service whose medical team take a special interest in the residents at Clairleigh.
CUISINE
Clairleigh Nursing Home
At Clairleigh, all our food is freshly prepared on the premises and served in our comfortably furnished dining room. Special diets are catered for and choice is always offered. A comprehensive sweet trolley with a good choice of deserts is available.
Milky Drinks are served in the evening with choices of tea/coffee/Ovaltine/Horlicks/hot chocolate. Light snacks and drinks are available at any time on request.
Bedrooms
All rooms are attractively decorated, comfortable and adapted to meet the needs of the Residents. Residents are encouraged to bring in small articles of furniture to personalise their rooms. All the radiators are covered and fitted with thermostat controls. Each room is provided with Nurse Call, television and telephone points.
Lounge
The Home has lounge facilities on each floor. There is a T.V. lounge, dining room and conservatory on the ground floor. There is also a lift which provides easy access to the upstairs rooms.
Gardens
The large mature gardens that surround the house are a main feature and are maintained all year 'round. The landscaped gardens of Clairleigh provide a peaceful and serene atmosphere for our residents to enjoy.
Sensory Room
We have sensory room, which is a space for enjoying a variety of sensory experiences and where gentle stimulation of the senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell and movement) can be highly beneficial for our residents. We create bespoke experiences for each resident to enjoy.
